First of all, we would like to say Happy New Year 2023, wishing you more prosperous new year. Congratulations for surviving the Pandemic storm and enjoying a new vibe of tourism reborn now. Recover together, recover stronger.

A very good starting 2023, Orangutan Applause and friends of local tour operators focusing on ecotourism in Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo got an opportunity from Indecon to promote our destination. Indecon is Indonesian Ecotourism Network, a non-government organization established in 1995, focusing in developing and promoting ecotourism in Indonesia. They particularly envisage ecotourism as one of the sustainable options of natural conservation; by encouraging visitors to minimize the negative impact of their visit as well as encouraging local government and local community to manage their consumption of natural resources in sustainable manner. They believe that if this harmonious relation is achieved, then natural conservation can function effectively to improve welfare of local community.

Explore Klaimantan meets The Deputy of Destination and Infrastructure Develompent, Ministry of Toursim and Creative Economy

It was a great opportunity to collaborate with local tour operators in Kalimantan to promote #exploreKalimantan with a dream #connectingKalimantan. As the third largest island in the world, Kalimantan has a huge ecotourism product to experience by traveler. Nowdays, the biggest challenge is how to #connectingKalimantan. Ecotourism products in every destination should be connected, so traveler able to experience the whole of Kalimantan, it is not only about the biodiversity, landscape, and an exotic animal but also the people and its cultures.

Government support is really need to provide some connected infrastructure among cities in Kalimantan. Land road connectivity will provide access and a great experience to the traveler to see detailed the beauty of Kalimantan #landofadventures. Otherwise, flights route connectivity also important to provide a quick access to the remote destination in Kalimantan.
